KATCHYN BURMILLAS

The Burmilla was originally created in the United Kingdom in 1981 by mating a lilac Burmese named Bambino Faberge to a Chinchilla (a type of Persian Cat).  They are essentially a Burmese with a chinchilla coat pattern. In GCCF (Governing Council of the Cat Fancy), the Burmilla is considered part of the Asian cat breed. There are two types recognised: Silver Shaded and Golden (Standard) Shaded.   Burmillas are a fantastic breed they have many of the personality characteristics of a Burmese.  They are sweet and gentle yet playful and full of fun.  They make wonderful companions for Burmese. Having fallen in love with them at shows we have been breeding Burmilla’s since 2014 and they have made a wonderful addition to our family.
