Introduction

Welcome to Katchyn Burmese and Burmillas blog.  I will do my best to update this as often as I can with all of the developments with our cats.

 Saturday 27th August 2016

We had a fabulous day at the West of England and South Wales Cat Club Show.   Queenie (Gr Ch Katchyn Drama Queen) gained her 3rd grand champion certificate and her new title.  Her son Chester (Ch Katchyn Madarin) was also awarded the Grand Certificate his first and her grand daughter Sugar (Katchyn Brown Sugar) was awarded first and best of breed.  Both had a red card day meaning they won all of their classes.  We also took Martha (Katchyn WildHoney)  she was awarded first and best of breed and then went on to be awarded best in show Burmese kitten.  We were so proud of them all.

We had more happy news from new kitten owners today.  Enid (Katchyn Elsa) and Casper (Katchyn Olaf) have settled really well into their new home.

Thursday 30th July 2016

Its always really lovely to hear how kittens are settling in in their new homes.  I had lovely news today that Benji (Katchyn Red Maxim) has settled really well with his new best friend William (Katchyn Bamboozled).

Sunday 25th July 2016

A day of mixed feelings today as the first of the kittens went to their new homes.  I am pleased that they have fantastic forever homes where I know they will be  loved and make their new owners very happy but I am sad as I will really miss them.  Having that last cuddle goodbye before they go into the carrier never gets any easier. Katchyn Kiki and Katchyn Black Magic (Kiki and Lilly) with their new owner) A day later settled happily in their new home.

Saturday 16th April 2016

We have had visitors today coming to see their new kittens.  The kittens really loved all the attention especially the cuddles from the children.  It wont be long until they go to their new homes.  They grow up so quickly.

Saturday 2nd April 2016

Judging commitments have made it difficult to show over the past year so it was great to be at a show again this time the  joint show Bristol and District Cat Club Show and the Cambria Cat Club show at Thornbury.    We had a really great day and the cats seemed to enjoy themselves and all of the attention.  We took Dudley (Ch Katchyn Vanilla-Ice) to represent our burmillas and Chester (Ch Katchyn Mandarin) to represent out burmese.   Dudley had a good day being awarded Reserve Grand Champion at both shows and Best of Breed at both shows.  Chester had an amazing day.  He was awarded 1st Best of Breed and a champion certificate at both show which gave him his new Champion title.  He then went on to be awarded Best of Variety Burmese Adult at both shows which was amazing.  We are so proud of them both.
